Notes

At some point this tool went from a useful way to connect with colleagues and people you met at networking events, to a cesspool of toxic positivity, unpaid influencer side hustles, and inboxes full of people who you have never met sending messages asking for favors. The going advice is to use the platform to reach out, so you can hardly blame people. Sending cold intros to people you don't know often feels like the only way to get an application seen. The job board part is useful, but their parent company has enough money to be able to create better user experiences (there is seriously no way to filter out roles you already applied for?!) And then there is the free part of the freemium model getting stripped back more and more, to transform a once-functional free experience into a dilapidated sham of a tool. You now can't even include a note with a connection request more than 3x per month, without monthly payments of at least $29. Good thing job seekers have so much money to spare.
