It is initially unclear how they choose who to approve, but they offer a guide with tips for approval success that clarifies they judge you on things like how elite your university was and how much demand there is for your line of work. If rejected, you aren't allowed to reapply for several months, but they do send you a link to a totally different site they are building, to find jobs that are the literal antithesis of the jobs on the site you actually applied for. When digging further, people who have gotten approved can't seem to point to any specific support this tool actually gave them or identify any offers that they got through their use of the tool.
